I looked at you and smiled the other day

I asked you to come outside and play ball with me

I drew a picture just for you to see
I thaught that youd save it forever but you didnt
I made a forte for us back at the woods
I thaught that youd camp out with me but you didnt
I found some worms and stuff for fishing
I thaught that youd go with me but you didnt
I needed you just to talk to just to share my feelings with
I thaught that youd want to but you didnt
I told you about this game hoping that youd show up to play
I thaught that youd surley come but you didnt
I asked you th share my youth with me
I thaught that youd want to but you couldent
My country called me off to war
You asked me to come home safely but i didnt
Keep the ones you love close to you
And make sure they know you love them all the time
Because anything can happen at anytime
Make sure whoever you love knows that you love them
Because this world can be a pretty shoking place somtimes
